Mark Cornell

Mark Cornell was appointed as Senior Clerk in November 2021.

He is responsible for the day to day running of Chambers, strategic planning, business development and client service. He is mainly based in our central London office. 

Mark brings more than 40 years of clerking experience to Chambers, including 24 years as Senior Clerk at a leading set of criminal chambers, and the last three years as Director of Business Development at a prominent set of chambers dealing with crime, international crime, and extradition. 

He has been a qualified member of the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks for many years and has undertaken the Bar Council Public Access training course to assist clients wishing to instruct Counsel direct.

Mark is very interested in extradition law, international criminal law and private prosecutions. Recent collaborations that he has been involved in include the Crimeline Extradition Hub and the funding of public access cases through the Crowdjustice fundraising platform.

He loves to travel and in his spare time he is a keen triathlete and long distance swimmer.
