Paulina Strassburger joined Guernica 37 Group as the Private Secretary for the Co-Founders & Heads of Chambers in January 2022.
She is responsible for supporting the Co-Founders & Heads of Chambers with logistics, preparation of written documents, diary management, and the day-to-day management of Guernica 37 Chambers. In addition, Paulina oversees the communications and coordination between Guernica 37 Chambers and Guernica 37 Centre, is the liaison with the Advisory Council and the Board of Directors and responsible for communicating developments with relevant stakeholders.
Paulina is an accomplished bilingual, multidisciplinary, result-oriented professional with a demonstrated history of working in international and government affairs. As a former diplomat, posted as the Political Affairs Attaché in the Consulate General of Mexico in New York and as the Executive Assistant for the Ambassador of Mexico in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and as a public servant in Mexico for the last 15 years, she is well acquainted with the political, economic, and social circumstances globally.
Prior to working for the Mexican Foreign Ministry, Paulina worked as the Director of Foreign Media at the President of Mexico office, where she was responsible for creating and coordinating the Mexican government’s first ever in-house international media unit to improve analysis and response to the evolving press environment.
All these positions demanded that Paulina have a strong knowledge of governmental issues, public policy, international relations, institutional mandates, and sound political analysis and diplomacy, and required her to provide leadership, political support, and advice in the framework of politically sensitive issues.
Paulina holds a master’s degree in Urbanization and Development from the London School of Economics and a Political Science degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
