A very special evening commemorating 25 years since the House of Lords cleared the way for former Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet to be arrested on charges of torture pursuant to an international arrest warrant issued by the Spanish authorities. Judge Baltasar Garzon, the Spanish High Court investigating Judge who issued the order, was our very special guest and shared with us at G37 Chambers’ Christmas party the story. With him, analysing the impact of this historical moment for the development of international human rights law, were LSE professor Dr Devika Hovell and Redress Executive Director, Rupert Skilbeck. Almudena Bernabeu, Joint Head of G37 Chambers moderated the discussion.

A warm thank you to the extraordinary panelists from all at G37 and to all who attended our London annual tradition…as Almudena put it : "G37- Not just another Christmas party at Inner Temple."
